Cleanings

Instruments are completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned inside and out, buffed and polished (plated) if requested, and assembled with new corks. Felts and springs are replaced as needed. The instrument is oiled, lubed and play tested. Dents, solder work and severely frozen parts repair are extra. 20% surcharge for extremely dirty instruments.

Bending, straightening, shank repair, throat opening, bore polishing & cleaning. Estimates given on inspection.

Mouthpieces needing extensive repair before plating will be repaired and charged at current shop rate.  Care is taken not to alter rim, cup, throat, and backbone.  Honest evaluation will be given at time of inspection.  It might be better to find a new mouthpiece than repairing an old one.

Dent Work

$30.00 – $60.00
Unless an instrument has been severely damaged or abused, many dings and dents can be repaired within the stated price range. All work is performed to restore to ‘like new’ condition. Size, severity, and range of damage will determine the amount of ‘scars’ left in base metal.
All dent work estimates pending shop inspection. 

Overhauls

Instruments are fully disassembled and cleaned.  All dents are removed, the lacquer stripped, and corroded and severely damaged parts are replaced as able with original or proper duplicate items.  Buffed, polished and lacquered or plated per customer request.
